Now usually I have light feelings of admiration, but its true that they barely happen. 

Perhaps you'll understand it the way my friend stated it:

Asexual people are standing still.

Demisexual people are standing still until they are pulled along.

Heterosexual people are walking straight

Homosexual people are walking backwards

Bisexual people are walking both forwards and backwards

Pan sexual people are running around everywhere

Polysexual people are walking around everywhere, and stopping suddenly
